Huang Shan Mao Feng Premium – Yellow Mountain Fur Peak Green Tea (黄山毛峰)
Premium Early Spring Green Tea from Huangshan, Anhui, China
Floral • Silky • Exceptionally Fresh
A refined expression of one of China’s most famous mountain green teas.
Huang Shan Mao Feng Premium (黄山毛峰) is a high-grade Chinese green tea grown in the mist-covered mountains of Huangshan, Anhui Province. Its name, meaning “Yellow Mountain Fur Peak,” refers to the fine silvery hairs covering the tender spring buds and their elegant, pointed shape.
This premium selection is crafted from carefully chosen young buds and tender leaves gathered during the early spring harvest. Compared with standard Huang Shan Mao Feng, it offers a finer leaf appearance, more delicate floral fragrance, silkier texture, and longer-lasting sweetness.
The infusion is bright and refreshing, with notes of orchid, sweet chestnut, tender greens, and mountain flowers. Smooth and gently sweet, Huang Shan Mao Feng Premium is ideal for tea lovers seeking an elegant Chinese loose-leaf green tea with clarity, aroma, and refined character.

Traditional Processing
Huang Shan Mao Feng Premium is produced with careful handling to preserve its tender appearance, fresh aroma, and naturally sweet flavor:
- Selective Spring Plucking – Fine buds and young leaves are carefully gathered during the early spring season.
- Brief Withering – The freshly picked leaves rest to reduce surface moisture and soften their texture.
- Fixation—Shaqing – Gentle heat stops enzymatic oxidation while preserving the green color and fresh character.
- Delicate Shaping – The leaves are lightly handled to maintain their natural pointed form and silvery hairs.
- Slow Drying – Controlled drying stabilizes the tea and develops its floral, chestnut-like fragrance.
The premium leaf selection and careful processing create a tea with greater refinement, clearer sweetness, and a more elegant aroma than ordinary grades.

Cultural Significance
Huang Shan Mao Feng is one of China’s most renowned traditional green teas and an enduring symbol of Anhui tea culture. Its character is closely connected to the dramatic landscape of Huangshan, where granite peaks, ancient pine trees, cool mountain air, and persistent mist create favorable conditions for slow-growing, aromatic tea leaves.
The name “Mao Feng,” or “Fur Peak,” describes the soft down covering the young buds and their pointed shape, which resembles the mountain summits of Huangshan.
The premium grade represents a more selective expression of this famous tea—delicate in appearance, refined in aroma, and quietly complex in the cup. It is a tea of spring freshness, mountain clarity, and graceful craftsmanship.
